DRUM ROLL PLEASE....Our very first Chef’s Small Plate Competition was a hit. Diners loved the chance to visit multiple locations and sample “Tastes of Summer” creations from participating Restaurant Week restaurants. The feedback was incredible, and we’re excited to say this competition will definitely be back for our next Restaurant Week.

Now, on to the results!

🥉 Third place ended in a tie between @legacytablekzoo for their Shrimp and Glaze Skewers and @highdive Kitchen + Bar for their Honey Dijon Braised Salmon.

🥈 In second place, it was @brickandbrinekz with their Ricotta Canapé.

🥇 Taking home first place, along with a custom embroidered chef’s jacket courtesy of @gordonfoodservice , was @dabneyandco with their Black Eyed Pea Salsa. This dish featured roasted red peppers, black beans, corn, fresh herbs, and of course the star of the show, black eyed peas. A Southern twist on a timeless classic, bold in flavor and perfect for summer.

Honorable mentions go to @rocakzoo, @principlekzoo, and @marurestaurant, who also received a significant number of votes. Thank you to everyone who participated and made this first year such a success!

THE RESULTS ARE IN! The Cocktail Competition, presented by @detroitcitydistillery, continues to be one of the most exciting parts of Restaurant Week, nearly 10 years strong and still hotly contested!
