Located in a historic train freight depot, HopCat features a multi-season outdoor patio and a special installation of guitars from Kalamazoo's own Heritage Guitars. We're a short walk from Bell's, Arcadia, and other downtown breweries and beer bars in this great beer city.

HopCat was founded on the principles of bringing local craft beer a bit closer to the communities we love. We’re known for our award-winning Cosmik fries, which are beer battered, sprinkled with our signature cracked black pepper seasoning, and served with a side of warm cheese sauce. From burgers to tacos, our menu offers a range of delicious options.

BRAYZ'D & CONFUSED - $10 

This comfort food favorite among our team was designed by our first-ever Heart of House Employee of the Quarter, Brayden Vond! This sandwich features a fresh Brioche Bun, topped with Hickory Smoked Pork, drizzled with Tangy Caroline BBQ Sauce. Piled high with Haystack Onions and house-made Southern Slaw. 

 

BIKINI BOTTOM SALAD - $10 

A refreshing summer salad with juicy pineapple, fresh avocado, roasted pepitas, red onions, queso fresco crumbles & smoky bacon bits. 

Served with tajin vinaigrette. 

 

LET'S SHARE SOME TACOS! - $25 

Have you tried our new tacos yet?! For a limited time, you get to try 2 each of all three styles! (All tacos are served in a layered shell of a fried blue corn tortilla, melted cheese, & soft flour tortilla).

 

TROPIC LIKE IT'S HOT 

Smoky adobo chicken tacos topped with house-made pineapple salsa and zesty signature chimichurri sauce. Shells are melted together with pepper jack cheese. 

IGNORANCE IS BLISSKET 

Smoked brisket smothered in bbq, topped with our chimichurri slaw & house-made pickled red onions. Shells are melted together with a cheddar blend. 

 

VIVA LAS VEGAN

These vegan chorizo tacos are topped with pico de gallo and corn & black bean salsa. Served up in a layered shell modified with vegan jalapeño aioli. No cheese here!

Beer Lover's Old Fashioned

Sweet, smokey, strong! This delectable classic is made with Iron Fish Bourbon Whiskey that has been finished in Imperial Stout Casks, muddled with a raw cane sugar cube, Luxardo Cherry, a shot of New Holland Dragon's Milk, a splash (and we mean a splash) of water, three dashes of Angostura Bitters and an orange rind. Add another orange rind for garnish, and you'll quickly realize that this was JUST what the doctor ordered!
